BIO

HERE IS ALL THE INFORMATION YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT R. S. FIELDS.

FIRSTLY, WHAT DOES THE R. S. STAND FOR?

My actual name is Rosalind Sylvia Chipperfield – imagine having that on the cover of a book! R. S. Fields is much easier to remember.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHILDHOOD.

I was born in Margate in Kent in on 16th March1972, and I lived with my parents Peter and Lillian, my brother Jason and Sister Valerie. I grew up with loads of pets including stick insects- my dad suggested I charge people to see them to help pay for their keep. Not much to say, I had a happy childhood, loved English at school, did I know then I’d be writing novels.

WHAT HAPPENED AFTER YOU LEFT SCHOOL?

I worked in a factory, then a bowling alley- which was great fun. At the age of 24 I had my daughter Fern – my angel. We moved to London when she was a few months old and then later to Buckinghamshire where at the age of 40 I had Twin girls. I then returned to my home town in Thanet in Kent in 2019, when my daughters were 8 years old. Now I live in Ramsgate with my new partner and the girls who are 13 now. I work full time and we have two border collies Lulu and Lola and cat called Hobbs.

WOW, BUSY WOMAN. WHAT DO YOU IN YOUR SPARE TIME.

When I’m not working or writing, I like to read young adult supernatural or romance novels. I love to spend my time time with her eldest daughter Fern, who is getting married in a few weeks.. so its all go at the moment. I really enjoy taking the dogs out for walk along the beach or in the wood, and having cosy nights in watching a good film with a mug of hot chocolate.

SO HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH IDEA OF HAUNTING TRUTHS?

It was quite funny, I blame Fern for that:

DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS FOR NEW BOOK?

Yes, I’m currently working on a new young adult novel called HAUNTING RETRIBUTION, so keep posted!!
