When I’m not busy preparing to publish Haunting Truths, I’ve been training with my daughter to walk 26 miles around Salisbury for the Alzheimer’s Society charity. It’s not been easy, the 20 miles nearly killed me, but it has been fun. My daughters have kept me going with words of encouragement and making some of the training into picnics. what a lovely way to spend Mother’s Day.
If my work colleagues are reading this, I’m sorry (not really) for nagging you to donate to this worthy cause. Everyone knows someone who has been affected by Alzheimer’s, whether it’s a neighbour or a family member. We need to beat this disease.
I have to show you my two canine companions Lulu and Lola, who are always at the ready to take me for a long walk.

In total my daughter and I raised £660, so a massive thank you to all the people who have donated money, and a thank you for those who are cheering us on. I will be taking pictures and videos on the day, so you can see how we got on – fingers crossed we pass the finishing line.
Follow onto the next post to see how we did – or didn’t do…
