Trek 26 challenge completed!

For the last few months I have been getting my legs ready, by walking everywhere with my children and two border collies – maybe they were taking me for the walks. We signed up to walk 26 miles and raise money for Alzheimer’s Society UK. I’m glad to say that Fern and I finished the 26 miles in 9 hours and 45 minutes, and I’m so happy to say we raised £670.

The trek was around the beautiful town and countryside of Salisbury (the home of Stonehenge). It started off foggy but with typical British weather, it ended up being very hot and then rain- yes we got soaked!

I must say, the whole event was managed so well, from the route markers, volunteer’s, to crossing the finishing line – where your name was called out within minutes, and your timing was sent to your phone.

So, now I have recovered and already planning to walk the North York Moors next year, I must say a massive thank you to everyone who sponsored us, we really appreciate it, and who knows maybe I might see you there next year!
